Johnnie Walker Princes Street is celebrating Chinese New Year this February with special experiences, including a Mandarin edition of its signature whisky experience and a chance for visitors to win prizes. To celebrate The Year of The Dragon, visitors booking experiences at the Edinburgh venue on February 9th or 11th will receive a red envelope with a surprise inside.
The red envelope tradition symbolizes luck, success, and nobleness, and all visitors during these days will leave with one of 13 prizes. Prizes range from tasting experiences and culinary whisky pairings to a limited release bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue x James Jean Lunar New Year Edition.
For the first time, Johnnie Walker Princes Street will be hosting its Journey of Flavour Tour in Mandarin guided by one of its lead guides, Xian. Sessions will be available on February 9th and 11th at 3.30pm, guiding guests through an immersive sensory experience exploring the history of Johnnie Walker and the flavor opportunities whisky offers.
The Lunar New Year Retail Tasting is also available, offering a guided tasting of some of Johnnie Walker’s finest whiskies on February 9th at 6.30pm. Guests can enjoy a tasting of John Walker & Sons King George V, a dram of the Special Release 2023 of Glenkinchie 27 Year Old, and a Black Label highball on arrival.
